Terms of Service

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and COVRD Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("COVRD", "we", "us", or "our"), a company incorporated in India with its registered office in Delhi.

By accessing our website at covrd.in, using any of our services, submitting a query, or creating an account, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you are using COVRD on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use our service.

COVRD provides a health insurance clarity service that helps individuals and families understand their health insurance policies. Our service consists of two channels:

• Ask an Expert: a human advisory service where trained COVRD advisors review your policy document and answer specific questions about your coverage.
• Ask our AI: an AI-powered service that processes your uploaded policy document and generates answers to your questions based on the content of that document.

COVRD is a subscription-based service. Certain features may be available on a free or paid-subscription basis as described on our pricing page.

The answers provided by COVRD advisors and our AI are based on our reading and interpretation of the policy document you provide. These answers are:

• Informational in nature and intended to help you better understand your policy wording.
• Not legally binding on your insurer, TPA, or any other party.
• Not a substitute for the official terms and conditions of your insurance policy.
• Not a guarantee of coverage, claim outcome, or insurer behaviour.

The final determination of any insurance claim rests solely with your insurer and is governed by the terms of your policy contract. COVRD does not represent you in any legal, regulatory, or claims proceeding unless explicitly contracted to do so through a separate written agreement.

You should always verify important coverage questions directly with your insurer or a licensed insurance intermediary before making medical decisions.

By using COVRD, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when submitting queries, including uploading policy documents that genuinely belong to you or a family member for whom you have authorisation to act.
• Use the service only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms.
• Not upload documents belonging to third parties without their explicit consent.
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract content or data from our platform.
• Not use the service to submit fraudulent, misleading, or harmful content.
• Not impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Keep your account credentials confidential and notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on information provided by COVRD. We strongly encourage you to verify material coverage decisions with your insurer directly.

All content on the COVRD platform, including but not limited to the website design, text, graphics, logos, icons, software, and AI models, is the intellectual property of COVRD Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and is protected under applicable Indian and international intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use COVRD for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any content from our platform without our prior written consent.

The policy documents you upload remain your property. By uploading them, you grant COVRD a limited licence to process and analyse them for the purpose of responding to your query.

Your use of COVRD is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

We do not share your personal data or policy documents with any insurer, broker, or third-party marketing entity. Your documents are used to answer your query and are deleted within a reasonable period of query resolution unless you have requested ongoing storage.

Paid features of COVRD are offered on a subscription basis. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge the applicable fees to your chosen payment method on a recurring basis.

• Billing: subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected at sign-up. Fees are stated in Indian Rupees and are inclusive of applicable taxes.
• Cancellation: you may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
• Free tier: certain features are available at no charge as described on our website. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue free features at any time with reasonable notice.
• Price changes: we will notify you at least 30 days in advance of any change to your subscription price. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.
• Failed payments: if a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you and may suspend access to paid features until payment is received.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, COVRD shall not be liable for:

• Any claim denial, underpayment, or dispute with your insurer arising from reliance on information provided by COVRD.
• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
• Any inaccuracy in the AI-generated analysis of your policy document, including missed exclusions, incorrect interpretation of sub-limits, or errors arising from unclear or incomplete policy documents.
• Any loss resulting from unauthorised access to your account where you have failed to maintain the security of your credentials.
• Any interruption, suspension, or unavailability of the service due to technical issues, maintenance, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to COVRD in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless COVRD Technologies Pvt. Ltd., its directors, employees, advisors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

• Your use of the COVRD service in violation of these Terms.
• Your uploading of documents to which you do not have the right or authorisation.
• Any false, misleading, or inaccurate information you have provided to us.
• Any violation of applicable law by you in connection with your use of the service.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@covrd.in or through your account settings.

COVRD reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or used the service in a manner that causes harm to us or other users.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. We will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) shall continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of COVRD shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days of written notice, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India). The seat of arbitration shall be Delhi, India. Proceedings shall be conducted in English.

Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief from a court of competent jurisdiction where necessary to protect its rights.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email and post a prominent notice on our website at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of COVRD after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the service before the effective date.
